Interactive Feature at Science City at Union Station
Kansas City, USA

Project Features:

  • 46 smooth stream emitters with leaping and disrupted flow technology
  • 715 gpm
  • Fiber optic illumination with color sequencing
  • 2 tiered neoclassical replica structure 24 feet wide by 20 feet high

About the Project:

Situated in the Festival Plaza of the newly renovated rail station, this water feature is an interactive and high tech illusion. A closer look reveals the water is actually flowing UP from the floor to the first basis to upper basin. Computer controlled sequencing creates spectacular patters, enhanced at night by colour controls for each nozzle. Sensors detect approaching movement and open a "gate" that invites people to view the water feature from the inside out.
